Simple formula for AM-detector transfer factor
نویسنده
چکیده
A simple approximate formula for the AM-detector transfer factor, which is valid for small-signal modes as well as for large-signal ones is proposed. This formula allows one to model analytically (or numerically at the behavioural level) an AM-detector in the largesignal and small-signal modes taking into account the nonlinearity of its transfer factor. Formula validation is made by comparison with measurements and PSPICE simulation data.

High-frequency corrections to the detector response
Abstract Searches for gravitational waves with km-scale laser interferometers often involve the long-wavelength approximation to describe the detector response. The prevailing assumption is that the corrections to the detector response due to its finite size are small and the errors due to the long-wavelength approximation are negligible. Recently, however, Baskaran and Grishchuk (2004 Class. Q...
متن کاملNonlinear EMI Simulation of an AM Detector at the System Level
A nonlinear detector simulation technique that can be used together with the discrete technique for a rapid radio receiver electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic interference (EMC/EMI) simulation up to the baseband signal processing path at the system level is proposed. The technique presented allows one to simulate an amplitude modulation (AM) detector in the large signal mode as we...
متن کاملThe Heinemann-Mittermeir Generalized Shape Factor and Its Practical Relevance
Fifty years ago Warren and Root have introduced the shape factor. This fundamental parameter for modeling of naturally fractured reservoirs has been discussed stormily ever since. Different definitions for shape factor have been suggested which all of them are heuristically based. Recently, Heinemann and Mittermeir mathematically derived - based on the dual-continuum theorem assuming pseudo-ste...
متن کاملA Study on Transfer Factors of Environmental Radionuclides: Radionuclide Transfer from Soil to Different Varieties of Rice in Gorgan, Iran
Introduction Natural and artificial radionuclides are the main sources of human radiation exposure. These radionuclides, which are present in the environment, can enter the food chain. Rice is one of the most important food components in Iran. Radionuclides by transferring from soil to rice and entering the human body can affect human health. Materials and Methods Fourteen samples of different ...
